Discover the world of high-quality GORI folding propellers, specially developed for sailing yachts. Learn about the unique features that make GORI propellers an excellent choice. Especially the 3-blade variant is extremely popular due to its optimal reverse driving characteristics. The GORI RACE, on the other hand, features an unmatched low drag resistance, making it the best choice for racing yachts.
Step 1: Choose the Right Model - the Propeller Calculation
Find out how to determine the right size and type of propeller based on your boat type and engine power: the right selection is crucial for performance and efficiency. GORI Propellers are available as GORI 2-blade propellers, GORI 3-blade propellers and GORI RACE 2-blade propellers. All propellers share their high-quality workmanship and low drag resistance, they only differ in detail.
For your propeller selection, first use the manufacturer's calculator. Doing this, the most important data are the total weight of the ship and the engine modeltogether with the maximum revolutions per minute and the gear reduction. The propeller calculation subsequently estimates the optimal GORI folding propeller for your boat.
For an initial selection, you can find a selection proposal here for many common series ships.

After the calculation, you will receive a recommendation email from the manufacturer for both a 2-blade and a 3-blade model, possibly with safety warnings. Simply forward this email to us (info@mare-sports.com) and we will be happy to advise you.
Here are the most important notes on the different propeller models in advance:

Step 2: Request a Personalised Offer
After you have forwarded us the results of the manufacturer's propeller calculation (or your ship data), we will check the data present to us and especially the safety warnings. In doubt, we may also contact the manufacturer. Once we have clearified all the details, you will receive your personal offer by email. We are also happy to advise you in advance by phone or email if you have questions.
Step 3: Check Technical Details
Check whether the dimensions of the chosen GORI folding propeller will fit onboard. Does the propeller fit between the shaft and the ship? When folded , is the propeller possibly too close to the saildrive or rudder?
Step 4: The Ordering Process
Once the technical check is done, your order can be placed. Some standard models are available from stock. Normally, your individual propeller will be with you in latest 3-4 weeks.
After Purchase: Installation and Maintenance
For installation, we provide you with installation instructions and maintenance notes. Maintenance kits with new anodes suitable for your propeller can be found
here. Depending on the sailing area, our own experience suggests that painting the propeller with Propspeed may be recommended after a few years.
